That's just a few of the many things it adds it's a really good mod. More blood, cuts, blood covers character etc. It does a lot more than just improving base textures though. If you don't mind the look of vanilla blood, then keep it the way it is.
Don't know about the size of vanilla blood textures, but these look better than vanilla in my opinion.
